Sri Lankan government creating another Darfur

The Sri Lankan government has asked all international aid agencies to leave the Tamil minority region under assault from government forces.

The reqion in the North of the country referred to as "Wanni" is on the brink of a humanitarian disaster as the government continues with its "slow genocide" of the Tamils.

Asia Times says that the Sri Lankan government even operates camps similar to the Nazi camps:

These camps are strictly policed and offer very limited freedom of mobility for inmates. Since civilian escapees from Wanni are all suspected of loyalties to the LTTE, the camps are subject to screening and "weeding out" operations by security forces. One informed international aid official likened them to Nazi concentration camps.

Will the international community act in time to save the suffering people of Wanni?
